Dr. Gannet Hallar’s Interview About Dust Events on BYU Radio

This past week, the BYU Radio show “Top Of Mind With Julie Rose” invited Dr. Gannet Hallar for an interview to discuss the science behind dust storms. Throughout the interview, Dr. Hallar goes into detail discussing aspects of dust events including the conditions required for dust storms, anthropogenic activity that effects dust storms, legislation regarding the regulation of dust, and the seasonality of dust events. The interview is another fantastic opportunity to learn more about trends in dust events which are also detailed in the group’s paper, “Dust Impacts of Rapid Agricultural Expansion on the Great Plains.”

Tune in at minute 39 to listen to the interview. Great job Gannet and thank you BYU Radio for having us on!
